    • Outstanding contributions in service to the IBA (established in 2000).

    Each year with an IBA meeting the IBA does award outstanding research and engagement that have impacted the advancement of electrochemical energy storage. Previous to each annual meeting the IBA calls for award nominations. The IBA Award Committee collects the nominations while the IBA board of directors and associate directors reviews the nominations in each category and selects the award winners. The IBA board reserves the right to decide, whether an IBA award is shared or will be not given in a certain category for the individual year. The winners are recognized at the respective IBA annual meeting.

    Nominations for these awards must include:

    • A nomination letter highlighting the qualifications and accomplishments of the individual or organization;
    • At least two (2) recommendation letters but no more than four (4) from prominent individuals in the battery community;
    • A curriculum vitae outlining the accomplishments and credentials of the nominee.
